Media speculation about BlackBerry has been hit or miss, but one thing for sure is that the BlackBerry 1o platform is still around! I have been using a BlackBerry device since 2007. The keyboard and email functionally were the things that drew me to the early java based operating system. Since the iPhone introduced in June 29, 2007, BlackBerry has seen it’s vast marketshare shrink drastically. One of the reasons is because of the lack of applications aka apps. When Apple introduced apps into the smartphone arena, people began to leave their BlackBerry’s behind and replace them with the iPhone.
